Previous Show - 15th January 2002

We kicked off the 2002 season with a jam-packed house......we actually had to turn a number of visitors away.

For those who squeezed in, they had a great night of comedy. Geoff Whiting was the compere and he was on super hot form......can I personally thank the comedy god for seating the crowd from Cash Convertors in the!

Compere: Geoff Whiting

In the middle section we had two acts: Simon Gent, above. He actually appeared in our December show, this time minus his sink unit.....someone stole it at another gig!!! Very good and definately going places.

Second Act in the middle was Hills Barker ....very good.

This is the second time Stanley McHale has performed in Birmingham.....the last time was at the Glee Club a year ago. Why? What a great northern comedian......the Liverpudian version of Thomas the Tank Engine was inspired

Headline Act of the night was Mitch Benn. Now this is some act and I can understand why he is so popular. Most comedy guitar and song act are pretty dull, but he is differant.....very reminiscent of 1970's Jasper Carrott and Mike Hardying.....lots of stories inbetween some very, very witty songs. A great performance!
