From a comedians viewpoint this was a tough gig.

As you can see from the photos, this gig took place on the ground floor of the pub. This was due to a double booking on the upstairs function room, where a local Academy who holding a music night.

The ground floor of the Dark Horse is very pleasant and we have held many great nights of comedy here before. Unfortunately, what we had taken into account this evening was the clearly audible music from upstairs, which combined with chatting people in restaurant, meant the comedians had to perform to a background of noise. .....sadly this isn’t conducive to a great comedy atmosphere.

But hey-ho we live and learn

Any comments on comedians need to bear in mind the difficult situation

Tim Clark

The audience enjoyed him and were laughing throughout his act

Paul Ricketts

He managed to get the audience laughing

Nicola Wilkinson

Jared Shooter

He did very well. He held the audiences attention and got them laughing out loud. Considering he is only 18 years old, I found his material is very mature and highly sophisticated for his age

Saskia Preston

Her one liners were really good. Indeed, when she asked out loud “I think my time is up”, the audience shouted out “do more”
